Artist Statement
A Few Words from Artist Trese Judd
I learned to paint at the age of 30 and am self-taught, honing my craft for over four decades. My passion for painting was sparked by stumbling upon an art show featuring the German painter, William “Bill” Alexander, and his television series, The Magic of Oil Painting. Watching his techniques inspired me to pick up a paintbrush and start creating.
Although I started with oil paints, I eventually discovered my true love for the versatility of acrylics. Painting has always been my creative outlet as a stay-at-home mom and has allowed me to bring the beauty of the world onto canvas. I’m inspired not only by the immense beauty of nature scenes but also by people. I love to get to know individuals, learning about their unique experiences. Thank you so much for taking the time to view my work and read a little about me and my passion. I appreciate it. – T. Judd
