Who is Trese Judd?
Trese Judd is an acrylic artist with over forty years of painting experience. Her work is diverse, featuring various subjects and themes, all connected by one common trait: Trese views them as beautiful or inspiring. Even her style has evolved over the years.
A Human Touch:
Until recently, Trese focused on creating her artwork in a realistic or photorealistic style, dedicating significant time and effort to capturing scenes as they appear in photos and real life. However, she has recently developed a profound appreciation for impressionism and abstract art. “I love the imperfection of it all,” she shares. “What I have come to appreciate most about original art, in the current age of digital art and AI-generated art, is an apparent human touch.”
The True Essence of Art:
It’s a beautiful and inspiring concept because, instead of spending excessive time attempting to create art that looks realistic or “perfect,” she has shifted her style and found immense joy in painting more freely. After all, isn’t that what creating art is truly about? That’s what is remarkable about Trese; she views her creative journey as a never-ending, ever-evolving experience and embraces change with ease. She is always in tune with herself and fearless when it comes to her artistic abilities.
Inspiration Through Authenticity:
She disregards conventional advice about selling art or branding and intends on doing things the way she always has. She hopes her work inspires viewers and fellow artists, but if it doesn’t, at least she knows she had fun creating and staying true to what she finds inspiring and beautiful, which encompasses countless things. Her main priority when painting is to continue finding joy in the process and bravo to that!
Artist Statement
I learned to paint at the age of 30. My passion was sparked by stumbling upon an art show featuring the well-known German oil painter, William “Bill” Alexander, and his television series, The Magic of Oil Painting. Watching his techniques inspired me to pick up a paintbrush and start creating.
Although I started with oil paints, I eventually discovered my true love for acrylics. Painting has always my creative outlet as a stay-at-home mom and has brought me so much joy. I’m inspired not only by the immense beauty of nature scenes but also by people and their unique experiences. Thank you for taking the time to read a little about me and for your interest in my work!
